# vDEX

Non-custodial swaps, charting and portfolio in the same view as the research

vDEX puts the trade where the answer is. Portfolio, balances and live pricing sit beside the
analysis, so insight and execution never separate.

## Why it sits inside the research view

Most people lose the trade in the gap between research and execution: switching tools, bridging
assets, rebuilding the decision in a second interface. Conviction decays across that gap and so
does accuracy. vDEX removes the gap rather than shortening it.

## Connecting a wallet

| Wallet | Platform |
| --- | --- |
| MetaMask | Browser extension, mobile |
| Trust Wallet | Mobile |
| OKX Wallet | Browser, mobile |
| Binance Wallet | Browser extension |
| WalletConnect | Any compatible wallet |

Vision Makers **never holds your keys**. There is no deposit step, no platform balance and no
withdrawal process. Your assets stay in your wallet at all times, and every swap executes from
it on your signature.

## Routing

vDEX compares paths across integrated venues including **Uniswap** and **OKX DEX**, scoring each
on expected output after slippage, gas and fill probability.

The decision is shown, not just the result:

> Best route is on Uniswap.
> 1,000 USDT becomes 0.41 ETH.
> 0.03% slippage, best of 7 routes.

Where the best path splits across venues, the split is shown with the percentage on each leg,
for example `Uniswap 68% · OKX 32%`.

## Making a swap

1. **Select the pair.** From a research view, the token is already populated.
2. **Enter an amount.** Your balance is shown against it.
3. **Review the route.** Venue, expected output, slippage and fee.
4. **Check the flags.** Concentration, liquidity and contract indicators appear before you commit.
5. **Approve the token** if this is the first time spending it. The approval is scoped to the amount required, not unlimited.
6. **Sign.** The transaction is restated in plain language before signing.

## What appears before you sign

| Shown | Why it matters |
| --- | --- |
| What leaves your wallet | Prevents amount and asset mistakes |
| What you should receive | Sets the expectation the fill is measured against |
| Slippage tolerance | A wide tolerance is how value gets extracted from you |
| Route and venue | Tells you which contract you are interacting with |
| Network fee estimate | Gas can exceed the trade value on small swaps |
| Risk flags | Liquidity, holder concentration, contract-level indicators |

## Portfolio

Balances, position values and 24-hour change sit alongside the trading view, sourced from your
connected wallet rather than an internal ledger. Because the source is the chain, what you see
is what is actually there.

## Fees

| Fee | Paid to |
| --- | --- |
| Network gas | The blockchain network, not Vision Makers |
| Venue fee | The liquidity venue, for example Uniswap's pool fee |
| Platform fee | Vision Makers, displayed before you commit |

Preferential platform rates are available to holders.

## Supported networks

Platform contracts are deployed on **EVM-compatible networks**. Available networks are shown in
the interface, since coverage changes as integrations are added.

## Limits and risks

**Swaps are irreversible.** Once signed and broadcast, no party can undo them.

**Quoted output is an estimate.** Price moves between quote and execution. Slippage tolerance
caps how far it can move before the transaction reverts.

**MEV exists.** Transactions may be subject to sandwiching or other value extraction, which is a
property of public mempools rather than of this platform.

**Approvals persist.** A token approval survives the swap that created it. Revoke stale
approvals periodically. See [Fraud and Security](/legal/fraud-and-security).
